One of my life’s goals is to learn Japanese to a point of being proficient. It, unfortunately, aslo requires me to achieve another one of my life’s goals: learn how to pick up hard copy.

Ruby began teaching me through a few lessons. It was a starting point. I’m sure we’ll begin lessons again at some point. Over the summer is out of the question (as she’s out of the country), so it is up to me to get up off my lazy butt and actually, gasp, learn.

Status
I’m currently in the process of learning Hiragana, working on both pronounciation and written skill.
